The Artec J38

The Artec is another key which looks like a J38 from a distance. It is quickly identified by the black frame with the name Artec cast into it, the letters "J38" without a dash, and the circuit closing switch attached under the right inner binding post.

This picture shows the name cast into the frame and the small (5/16") eye screw.


Here you see the captive binding post thumb screws used on the Artec. The thumb screws cannot be removed from the binding posts.

The attachment of the circuit closing switch under the right inner binding post causes the binding post to work loose over time.
