The J-48-A Telegraph Key

Here is what the J-48-A looks like when closed up with the cord secured to the holder built into the top.

When opened up you can see the standard J-37, the mounting brackets for the lid, and the slotted spring steel clips.

Here is a closer view of the bottom plate showing the "J-48-A" stamped into the front of the plate. The front part of the lever on this key seems to be covered with some type of insulating material.

On the bottom you can see how the spring steel clips can be used as a quick release mounting for the entire unit.
